The Christmas season is over and Joseph Adams is ready for Carnival 2018 with his contribution, "Start the Carnival."
PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD --The art of storytelling is alive as this rhythmic track rejuvenates the traditional calypso style and sound with the pulse of a groovy soca. It is guaranteed to bring the party to not only to the calypso tent but also to the fetes and boatrides.
Adams says, " It's time for big people to come back to the fete!" He believes that music and lyrics are key factors in rekindling the festive atmosphere and re-attracting mature partygoers.
The Jumior “Ibo” Joseph produced track has a powerful percussive accompaniment that compliments Adams' crystal clear vocal delivery. The distinctive sound of the rhythm section makes it a great groove track; leaving you no choice but to do exactly as the song commands, start the carnival.
Originally from Point Fortin, Adams started singing in the calypso tent during the 1980s. Over the years, he has released varying genres of music such as calypso, soca and parang soca. Some of his popular tracks include "Man Overboard," "Real Trini Christmas" and "My Poor Piggy." Presently, he is one of the headline acts at the Kaiso Showcase Calypso Tent.
